The short answer
On Oct. 29, 2026, Novo Nordisk said it will present 26 abstracts at ObesityWeek 2026, Nov. 14-17 in Washington, D.C. They include 3-month food noise and weight results with the Wegovy pill (oral semaglutide) through telehealth, food noise with Wegovy injections, lower-dose CagriSema (REDEFINE 9) and STEP-YOUNG in children ages 6 to under 12. Novo did not release any results ahead of the meeting, and CagriSema is not approved anywhere.

KINGSPORT, Tenn., Oct. 31, 2026 — Novo Nordisk said Thursday that it will present 26 abstracts at ObesityWeek 2026, the obesity research meeting set for Nov. 14-17 in Washington, D.C. Several focus on something people on GLP-1 medicines talk about every day: food noise. The company did not share any results ahead of time, so this is a look at what is coming, not what was found.

What Novo plans to present
According to Novo's Oct. 29 release, the lineup falls into four groups:
| Topic | What is listed | When (ET) |
|---|---|---|
| Wegovy pill (oral semaglutide) | Early telehealth users; 3-month weight outcomes; 3-month food noise and patient-reported outcomes; a digital support program cohort; a short-term cost comparison with orforglipron (ORACLE) | Sun., Nov. 15, 2:30-3:30 p.m. |
| Wegovy injection | Food noise and weight through telehealth; real-world outcomes at 1.0, 1.7 and 2.4 mg in the U.S. and U.K. (STEP ADAPT Real) | Sun., Nov. 15 (posters) |
| CagriSema (investigational) | REDEFINE 9 at lower doses (1.7 mg/1.7 mg and 1.0 mg/1.0 mg); REDEFINE 1 analyses of physical and psychosocial function, early response, and results by starting BMI | Nov. 14-15 |
| Children | STEP-YOUNG, semaglutide in children ages 6 to under 12 (oral presentation) | Mon., Nov. 16, 10-11:30 a.m. |
Novo also lists a cagrilintide abstract on bone mass during weight loss. "Studying treatment options across different settings, formulations, outcomes, and dosing regimens can strengthen understanding of obesity," said Martin Holst Lange, Novo's chief scientific officer, in the release.
Why the food noise studies matter
Most big GLP-1 trials measure pounds. Food noise studies try to measure what people feel: how often thoughts about food crowd in. That matters for meal planning. When food noise drops, some people forget to eat or skip protein. When a dose is missed or a medicine stops, it can come back. Our earlier report on hunger returning after semaglutide covers that side.
Two cautions before the results land. These are telehealth and support-program groups, not placebo-controlled trials, so they show what happened to people who used a service, not proof of cause. And three months is short. We will read the posters when they are public and report the numbers as written.
What about lower-dose CagriSema?
REDEFINE 9 tests CagriSema at 1.7 mg/1.7 mg and 1.0 mg/1.0 mg, lower than the doses in earlier trials. Lower doses could matter for people who struggle with stomach side effects, but no results are public yet. Novo states plainly that "CagriSema is not approved in the United States or anywhere else." For background, see our earlier coverage of CagriSema results in women.
The plate does not wait for the poster
New data will keep coming. The basics for meals on a GLP-1 do not change week to week: regular meals, enough protein, and portions that fit a smaller appetite. On the Wegovy pill or shots? Our Wegovy meal plan walks through it. Our GLP-1 meal planning guide covers protein-first eating, and the 7-day GLP-1 meal plan is an illustrative week, not a prescription. Coming off a medicine? See GLP-1 maintenance meals.
“When you're on a GLP-1 medication, what you eat matters more, not less. You need high-protein, portion-controlled, nutrient-dense food — and you need to know it's safe. That's exactly what we do.” — Lew Kizer, Founder, SmashMeals

Commentary, not medical advice
The SmashMeals perspective
Food noise is the part of GLP-1 care people talk about at our counter. When the medicine quiets it, the risk is skipping real meals. When it comes back, the risk is grazing. Either way, a fridge with portioned, protein-forward meals already in it makes the next good choice easier. We will watch the results on Nov. 15 like everyone else and report what they actually show.
Frequently asked questions
When is ObesityWeek 2026?
Nov. 14-17, 2026, in Washington, D.C., according to Novo Nordisk's Oct. 29 release. Most of Novo's posters are scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 15.
What is food noise?
Food noise is a common term for frequent, intrusive thoughts about food. Many people on GLP-1 medicines say it gets quieter. Novo plans to present 3-month food noise results for the Wegovy pill and a separate look at food noise with Wegovy injections.
Did Novo release any results?
No. The Oct. 29 release lists study titles and session times only. Results are expected when the abstracts are presented in mid-November.
Is CagriSema approved?
No. Novo's release says CagriSema is not approved in the United States or anywhere else. It is an investigational once-weekly shot combining cagrilintide and semaglutide.
Is semaglutide approved for children under 12?
Not in the United States. Novo's release says investigational semaglutide injection is not approved in the U.S. for children under 12. STEP-YOUNG studied children ages 6 to under 12.
How should I eat while waiting on new data?
Nothing in this preview changes everyday basics: regular meals, enough protein, and portions that fit your appetite. Ask your prescriber or a registered dietitian what is right for you.
