Teams rarely eat on a restaurant schedule. Practice runs late, buses leave early, and players, coaches, and staff may all need food at once. SmashMeals can build a catering plan around the headcount, timing, location, and food format of the event — pre-event group meals, post-practice team dinners, travel-day food, tournament weekends, banquets, coach and staff meals, and parent or recruiting events. Because the SmashMeals kitchen is dedicated gluten-free, teams do not need a separate gluten-free version of a regular flour-based catering kitchen. Delivery and setup options are confirmed in your quote.

Build the food plan around the serving window, venue, players, coaches, staff, and travel—not one generic sports-nutrition number. Current availability and serving format are determined by a custom quote.
One meal time, one location, everyone eating before the bus or the first whistle.
Late finish, hungry group, and nobody wants to organize a drive-through run.
Portable formats that survive a bus ride and can be handed out quickly.
Multiple meals across multiple days, planned in advance instead of improvised.
End-of-season dinner with players, coaches, families, and awards on the schedule.
Smaller group, often on a tighter window than the players.
Wins, senior nights, and send-offs where the food should feel like an occasion.
Guests outside the roster, so headcount and presentation both matter.
Send the date, location, headcount, and menu idea and we will tell you what is possible. Availability depends on the event, the date, and our production schedule, so we quote it rather than publishing a fixed capacity.
Individual portioning is one of the formats we discuss in a quote. It works well for staggered eating windows, bus departures, and rosters with different dietary needs. Confirm the format for your event when you request the quote.
SmashMeals operates a dedicated gluten-free kitchen — gluten-free is the kitchen's normal operating environment, not a special plate assembled beside a regular flour-based menu. If a guest has celiac disease or another medically significant dietary restriction, review the current ingredient and allergen information and contact SmashMeals with specific questions before ordering.
When nutrition matters to a team, use the actual product and menu data instead of generic labels such as 'athlete meal.' Ask for the specific items you are considering and we will share the information we have for those items.
Delivery: up to 15 miles $30; over 15–25 miles $40; over 25–50 miles $50. Select your distance tier at checkout; SmashMeals confirms mileage. Beyond 50 miles, call (423) 525-2489. Setup, serving staff and cleanup are arranged separately in a custom quote. Checkout confirms available dates, delivery options and the final total.
Start with the roster, then add coaches, staff, and any parents or guests. Our catering portions calculator turns that headcount into pounds of meat, sides, buns, and drinks so the quote conversation starts from real numbers.

Start with players, coaches, trainers, drivers and any staff or guests included in the order. Record meals by eating occasion rather than multiplying the team roster by the number of tournament days. Identify the person who can approve a final headcount and a person who can receive the food. Send dietary questions early so the exact menu and ingredient information can be reviewed before the order is confirmed.
A bus departure, warm-up, game, awards ceremony and hotel check-in can each change when food is practical. Give SmashMeals both the requested handoff time and the intended meal time. Confirm whether individually packed meals or a group serving format makes sense, who has refrigeration, and where reheating can happen. Do not assume a venue supplies utensils, serving equipment or a microwave.
List the delivery contact, venue entrance, parking instructions and a backup phone number in the event plan. If the schedule moves, ask about the change instead of assuming the original order can move automatically. Review the written menu, quantities, fees and responsibilities before confirming. For personal performance targets or medical diets, use the athlete’s own qualified care team; a team catering page does not set individual nutrition requirements.
