Wegovy Meal Plan: 7 Days Built Around Your Dose Schedule

Wegovy (semaglutide) is dosed in steps, and what you can comfortably eat in week one of a new dose is rarely what you can eat in week three. This plan maps a protein-first week onto that reality: a steady day, a dose day, the smaller day after it, and the days appetite returns. Below is the full week, the grocery list, swaps, low-appetite options and what to eat around the injection itself.

7-day Wegovy meal plan, mapped to your dose week

This is a generic sample week of everyday foods, not a SmashMeals menu listing, and no protein grams are stated for it — protein content depends on your portion sizes and brands. Dose day here is Tuesday; shift the pattern so the smallest day lands the day after your own injection. For the same week laid out as orderable SmashMeals entrees with per-meal calories and protein, use the printable 7-day GLP-1 meal plan instead.

Low-appetite and rough-stomach days

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation are the most commonly reported side effects of GLP-1 receptor agonists such as semaglutide, and they are usually worst in the days after a dose increase. On those days: eat smaller amounts more often instead of forcing a full meal, lead with the protein portion while your appetite window is open, many people find bland, lower-fat, non-fried food easier to tolerate, sip fluids between meals rather than with them, and stop eating when you feel full rather than pushing through it. Easiest-to-tolerate options include broth-based soup with shredded chicken, Greek yogurt or cottage cheese, soft-cooked eggs, baked white fish, and a protein smoothie sipped slowly. Contact your prescriber if you cannot keep fluids down or if side effects are severe or persistent.

Eating around injection day

Appetite and tolerance often shift in the 24 to 48 hours after a dose. Our GLP-1 shot day meal guide covers what to eat before and after your injection. For the week laid out day by day with printable format, see the 7-day GLP-1 meal plan. To order meals that fit this plan, see GLP-1 meal delivery.
