Count the meal occasions you want covered, rather than buying a preset week. Two work lunches plus three dinners equals five meal occasions. That is a planning example, not a required package or a recommended portion. Check whether each selected item serves one person or more, and leave room for meals you will cook, eat out or already have at home. Review what you actually ate before the next order.
A tray is not a universal serving size. Check the selected portion, ingredients, calories, protein, carbohydrate and fat where posted. If you need sodium, fiber or allergen details and they are missing, ask before ordering; missing information does not mean zero. A larger appetite may call for a side, while a smaller appetite may need a different portion. Use your own preferences and any individual nutrition guidance when choosing.
Check the label when the food arrives and decide which meals you will eat first. Follow the selected product's storage, freeze-by and reheating instructions; do not assume every dish can be frozen or heated in the same time. USDA's general guidance for cooked leftovers is 3–4 days in the refrigerator, with reheating to 165°F. That guidance is not a shelf-life promise for every unopened prepared product. Ask us if an item's label or instructions are unclear.
Current menu pricing varies by meal and changes with the weekly menu — see the live menu for this week's prices. Include the fulfillment charge and tax shown at checkout, and compare the total with the meals you would otherwise buy or cook. Prepared meals may cost more than groceries you cook yourself. Extra meals that go uneaten add cost, so check storage space and your actual schedule before increasing the order.
Ask which dishes they want, whether the portions suit them and when they can receive the food. Confirm the full delivery address, refrigerator or freezer space, available heating equipment and any dietary restrictions before placing an order. Coordinate receipt of perishable food rather than sending a surprise box. You can help with the ordering step without deciding their entire meal routine.
SmashMeals cooks in a dedicated gluten-free facility. We do not bring wheat, barley, or rye into the building and we do not share equipment with gluten-containing production. A dedicated gluten-free facility is not an allergen-free facility. Check each meal's label for dairy, soy, egg, nuts, and other allergens.
There is no minimum and no maximum order. Choose the amount you expect to eat and review fulfillment options and the final total in checkout.
Subscriptions are an optional convenience, not a requirement — you can pause, skip, or cancel anytime.
Count only the meals you want covered. Two lunches and three dinners is five meal occasions, not a required package. Check each item's serving size and account for food you already have, meals out and meals you will cook.
No. Nutrition and heating instructions depend on the dish and selected portion. Check the exact item's posted information and package directions rather than assuming one number applies across the menu.
