Military City USA moves people in and out constantly, and a lot of the families rotating through JBSA have already ordered from a service like ours somewhere else in the country. San Antonio just isn't a place we can fulfill that order — SmashMeals ships from a single kitchen in Kingsport, Tennessee, to 30 states plus DC, and South Texas has never been part of that map. We're saying so directly instead of letting a duty-station move end in a failed checkout.

We run one 100% dedicated gluten-free kitchen in Kingsport, TN and ship chef-prepared, macro-counted meals via flat-rate FedEx Ground to 30 states plus DC — Texas isn't in that zone today. San Antonio residents near the River Walk, the Alamo, the South Texas Medical Center, JBSA, and The Pearl ask us about this often, so we're keeping this page up with honest information rather than pretending we deliver here. Every meal we do ship is made in a facility with zero wheat, barley, or rye on premises — the difference between 'gluten-friendly' and actually dedicated gluten-free. If you have a shipping address in one of the states we currently serve, you can order this week. The River Walk, the Alamo, the South Texas Medical Center, JBSA, and The Pearl all generate consistent search traffic for us — San Antonio clearly wants what we make. We haven't found a way to get it there yet.
The obstacle is cold-chain range: meals ship fresh out of Kingsport in insulated boxes rated for a set number of transit days, and South Texas sits outside that range today. That's a shipping-lane limitation, not a statement about demand, which by our own numbers is strong here.
Ranges expand, though — ours has before, as we've picked up new carrier lanes and justified the added cost with order volume. San Antonio's search traffic is part of the case for the next expansion, whenever that happens. Our shipping zone page will say so the moment it's true; this page won't be updated nearly as fast. Until then, a PCS move or a relative's address inside our current 30 states plus DC is the fastest path to ordering from the kitchen we've run since 2017.
