SmashMeals Healthcare Capabilities

SmashMeals is a prepared-meal production kitchen founded in 2017 at 1917 Meadowview Parkway Suite 100, Kingsport, TN 37660. The entire facility is gluten-free, the operation is health-inspected, and we maintain the current Tennessee licenses and permits required to prepare and ship food. We deliver locally, ship statewide in Tennessee, and ship regionally by FedEx Ground. This page separates what we can do today from what we are still building for healthcare contracting.

Company facts

Food safety

Documented handling, cooling, labeling, and cold-chain practices. We do not claim third-party accreditation and do not publish certification marks we do not hold.

Fulfillment and tracking

Meals are produced on a weekly cycle in our own kitchen — not co-packed. Shipped orders carry carrier tracking; local routes are confirmed on delivery. Program cohorts receive delivery reporting on an agreed schedule.

Nutrition information

Per-meal nutrition and macros are available for menu planning and dietitian review. We do not provide clinical diet prescribing or registered dietitian oversight of a plan of care.

Allergen and gluten-free positioning

SmashMeals cooks in a dedicated gluten-free facility. We do not bring wheat, barley, or rye into the building and we do not share equipment with gluten-containing production. A dedicated gluten-free facility is not an allergen-free facility — check each meal's label for dairy, soy, egg, nuts, and other allergens.

Documents available on request

Current Tennessee food licenses and permits, certificate of insurance, W-9, menu and nutrition documentation, and a program-specific pricing sheet. Ask us for our healthcare capability packet.

Being built for healthcare contracting — not available today

Claims, eligibility verification and EDI; a HIPAA-aligned data workflow; registered dietitian clinical oversight; measured clinical outcome reporting.

Please note: SmashMeals is a direct-pay prepared-meal company. We are not in-network with, contracted by, or endorsed by any health plan, Medicare Advantage plan, Medicaid program, or managed-care organization, and we do not bill insurance or verify eligibility. Meal benefits, where they exist, depend on the individual plan, program, county, plan year, and authorization. Information on these pages is general education, not insurance, medical, or legal advice.

Frequently asked questions

What licenses does SmashMeals hold?
We maintain the current Tennessee licenses and permits required to prepare and ship food, and we operate as a health-inspected food operation. Copies are available on request. We do not hold healthcare-specific licenses or third-party food accreditations and do not claim them.
Can you supply a certificate of insurance?
Yes, on request. We do not publish coverage limits on the website.
Do you provide registered dietitian oversight?
Not today. We publish per-meal nutrition and macro data; clinical oversight of a member's diet remains with their care team.
What is your production capacity?
We size each program to what our kitchen can serve well and confirm capacity during scoping rather than publishing a number that could mislead a procurement decision.
