Gluten-Free Meal Fulfillment for Healthcare Organizations
Every meal SmashMeals produces is gluten-free because the entire kitchen is. We do not bring wheat, barley, or rye into the building and we do not share equipment with gluten-containing production, so there is no segregation program to audit and no shared line to worry about. That makes us a practical option for programs, hospitals, and case managers who need a dedicated gluten-free prepared-meal source rather than a gluten-free menu line inside a shared facility.
Most prepared-meal vendors produce gluten-free items on shared lines with allergen controls and scheduling rules. That can work, but it puts the burden on segregation procedures your team may have to evaluate. Our answer is structural instead of procedural: there is no gluten in the building to segregate. A dedicated gluten-free facility is not an allergen-free facility — check each meal's label for dairy, soy, egg, nuts, and other allergens.

Frequently asked questions
Is the whole kitchen gluten-free, or just some meals?
The whole kitchen. Wheat, barley, and rye do not enter the building, and no equipment is shared with gluten-containing production.
Is a dedicated gluten-free facility the same as allergen-free?
No. A dedicated gluten-free facility is not an allergen-free facility. Check each meal's label for dairy, soy, egg, nuts, and other allergens.
Can you make medical claims about celiac disease?
We describe how the kitchen is set up and let clinicians draw the clinical conclusion. We do not make medical claims, and dietary decisions for a patient remain with their care team.
Can you serve as a specialty gluten-free vendor alongside our main vendor?
Yes — that is one of the most common ways organizations use us.
