Prepared meals for two, counted around your actual week

One of you gets home late on Tuesday. You cook together on Friday. That leaves a few dinners where prepared meals could help, but the number changes with your calendar.

Dinner package counter for two

Count only the dinners you want covered. Enter the number of prepared meal packages you expect to use on each of those dinners, plus any lunch packages. The result is a shopping estimate, not a portion recommendation.

Start with the dinners that need help

Look at the next week rather than ordering for an imaginary routine. If you want prepared meals for four dinners and expect to use two packages each night, that is eight dinner packages. Add two lunch packages and the estimate is ten. Change the inputs for your own week.

You can still cook together on the nights you have time. The counter only covers the meals you ask it to cover.

Plan the nights you eat at different times

If one person eats earlier, decide whose item needs to be set aside before the first dinner starts. The timing field helps you notice those nights; it does not add an extra meal to your order.

Compare each person's choices separately on the live menu. Use the storage and reheating directions printed for the actual item when someone eats later.

Check the package before deciding to share

A prepared package and a labeled serving are not interchangeable. The FDA explains that one package can contain more than one labeled serving and that serving size is not a recommendation of how much to eat. Check the item's stated quantity and serving information before you decide whether one package or two suits a particular dinner.

The counter cannot infer appetites, allergies or nutrient targets. If the website lacks an item-level size or ingredient detail you need, ask SmashMeals before ordering.

Turn the estimate into a checkout list

Write each person’s chosen item beside the dinner or lunch it covers. Before adding it, confirm the item name, package quantity, stated servings, ingredients, allergens, storage directions and current price.

If an exact item is unavailable, compare the replacement on its own label and listing. Do not assume a similar meal has the same size, ingredients or nutrition information.

Compare the full cost before checkout

Use the website preview to narrow down your choices, then check the current ordering menu for availability, price, package details and your final order total. Your pickup, local delivery or shipping option depends on your address and the current checkout.

If one person wants a salad and the other wants an entrée, choose those items separately. A two-person plan does not require identical dinners.

Two eaters, one dedicated gluten-free kitchen

Compare ingredients and allergen information for each person’s exact item; a shared order does not require the same choice. A dedicated gluten-free facility is not an allergen-free facility.

SmashMeals operates a dedicated gluten-free kitchen. Review the current ingredient and allergen information for the actual meal before ordering.

Questions people actually ask

How many prepared meals should two people order for a week?

Count only the meals you want covered. For four dinners at two packages per dinner plus two lunches, the shopping estimate is ten packages. Change the package count for your actual choices and check each item's size before buying.

Does eating together or separately change the package count?

Not by itself. The counter counts packages you enter for each covered dinner. The together field reminds you which meals must be set aside for a later eater; it does not increase the total.

Does one package always feed one person?

No universal rule follows from the package count. Check the stated serving information and the particular item's quantity before deciding whether to share or buy a separate item for each person.

Can we choose different meals?

Yes. Preview the current catalog, then choose each person's items in the live ordering menu. Confirm availability and the order total there.

Do we have to subscribe or order every week?

No recurring subscription is required. Check the current checkout for any order minimum and the pickup, delivery or shipping conditions that apply to your address.
