Located at 1917 Meadowview Pkwy, Suite 100 in Kingsport, Tennessee, SmashMeals has operated as a 100% dedicated gluten-free commercial kitchen since 2017. We serve the entire Tri-Cities area — Kingsport, Johnson City, and Bristol — with local pickup, home delivery, and a $30 flat-rate FedEx Ground national shipping program for customers who have moved out of the region but cannot find anything like us where they live (and they cannot, because there isn''t anything like us).
This isn''t a restaurant that added gluten-free options to its menu. This isn''t a meal kit company that filters its online menu by allergen. This is a kitchen built from the foundation to never allow gluten inside — not in the ingredients, not in the equipment, not ever.
Section 1: The Tri-Cities Gluten-Free Problem
If you have celiac disease and you live in Kingsport, Johnson City, or Bristol, you already know the drill. Eating out is a calculation. Eating from a national meal delivery service is a calculation. Even shopping at the grocery store is a calculation.
Local restaurants. Most Tri-Cities restaurants that offer gluten-free options prepare them on shared grills, in shared fryers, on shared prep surfaces. A handful do better — but even the best operate in a kitchen that handles wheat. The risk is always there.
National delivery brands. Factor, Clean Eatz Kitchen, CookUnity, Territory Foods — all ship to the Tri-Cities. None of them operate a dedicated gluten-free kitchen. Every one of them carries a shared-facility disclaimer.
Grocery store prepared foods. Useful in a pinch, but you are reading every label and praying about the deli slicer.
This is the gap SmashMeals was built to fill. Our community — the celiac families in Kingsport, the GLP-1 patients in Johnson City, the bariatric patients in Bristol — needed a real option. We built one.

Section 5: From Pastor Lew
Before SmashMeals, I was a pastor. That formed how I think about this work.
