Six checks before checkout

Map the week before choosing a quantity

Count only the confirmed meal gaps: a late workday, practice night, separate dinner time or planned lunch. Then list the people eating at each occasion. This prevents a rough whole-week estimate from becoming an order that does not match the household.

Use the exact current item

Meal names, options, serving counts and availability can change. Compare the selected meal, protein, side, sauce and add-ons shown now. Do not reuse nutrition, ingredient or storage details from a different recipe or a previous week.

Do not treat kid-friendly as a universal promise

Preferences differ by child and by meal. Let each person compare familiar ingredients and available choices. The current item listing can inform the decision, but SmashMeals does not promise that every child will enjoy every dish or set an individual portion.

Check ingredients, allergens and the serving basis

SmashMeals cooks in a dedicated gluten-free facility. We do not bring wheat, barley, or rye into the building and we do not share equipment with gluten-containing production. A dedicated gluten-free facility is not an allergen-free facility. Check each meal's label for dairy, soy, egg, nuts, and other allergens. Use the serving basis and nutrition posted for the exact selection. If a required ingredient, allergen, serving or nutrition detail is missing, treat it as unknown and ask before ordering.

Plan the handoff, storage and next order

Orders close Thursday 11:59 PM Eastern for the following week. If you order after Thursday 11:59 PM Eastern, your order rolls into the next production week rather than the one about to be cooked. Confirm that someone can receive or retrieve the order, move perishable food into appropriate storage and follow each package's directions. Reorder only after comparing what the household actually used.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to subscribe or meet a minimum order?

Subscriptions are an optional convenience, not a requirement — you can pause, skip, or cancel anytime. There is no minimum and no maximum order. Review the current items and checkout terms before submitting the order.

Are all family meal-prep options family-size trays?

No. Formats and serving counts can vary. Check the exact current item instead of assuming one package feeds the whole household.

Can different family members choose different meals?

Yes. You can select different available items in the same order. Compare the exact option, serving basis, ingredients and required nutrition for each person.

How many prepared meals should I order?

Count the specific eating occasions that need coverage and the people eating at each one. Then compare that count with the stated servings for every selected package; do not use one package per person as a universal rule.

Are the meals kid-friendly?

Preferences differ, so SmashMeals does not promise that every child will enjoy every dish. Compare the current choices and familiar ingredients, and use the child's own dietary instructions.

Does the dedicated gluten-free facility mean every meal fits every allergy?

SmashMeals cooks in a dedicated gluten-free facility. We do not bring wheat, barley, or rye into the building and we do not share equipment with gluten-containing production. A dedicated gluten-free facility is not an allergen-free facility. Check each meal's label for dairy, soy, egg, nuts, and other allergens. Review the exact item and ask when another allergen detail is required.

What if a serving, ingredient or nutrition detail is missing?

Treat the missing detail as unknown. Ask SmashMeals about the named meal and option before relying on it for a household decision.

How do I confirm price, delivery and timing?

Current menu pricing varies by meal and changes with the weekly menu — see the live menu for this week's prices. Checkout confirms the item total, available pickup or delivery method, fulfillment charge and timing for the complete order and address.
