Travelers Rest wrote one of the South's best small-town comebacks — the Swamp Rabbit Trail turned a sleepy crossroads into a cycling capital, Main Street filled with cafés and outfitters, and the foothills kept doing what they've always done: pulling people outdoors. Endurance towns burn protein, and TR's athletes know their numbers. Every SmashMeals dish ships with exact macros from our 100% dedicated gluten-free kitchen in Kingsport, TN — within FedEx Ground shipping range. For the trail community's celiac athletes, the dedicated building (no wheat, barley, or rye since 2017) means recovery meals with zero contamination gamble. Order by Thursday 11:59 PM, delivered Tuesday; 5–7 days refrigerated, 6 months frozen. Flat $30 shipping, no subscription, meals from around $8.99. Ride the miles. We'll handle the refuel.
You can't out-ride a bad refuel — not even on the Swamp Rabbit. Real protein makes the comeback.

Protein and consistency — our meals run protein with exact labels, so cyclists and runners can build real recovery nutrition instead of guessing. Our high-protein line was developed alongside our experience serving athletes and active households.
the entire facility has excluded wheat, barley, and rye since 2017. For athletes, that means recovery meals with no gluten-containing production risk, which shared-kitchen meal preps cannot promise.
Perfectly — order deep before a big block, refrigerate 5–7 days, freeze the rest up to 6 months, and skip the taper weeks entirely. No subscription means the plan flexes with your training.
Meals from around $8.99 plus flat $30 FedEx cold shipping per box. No subscription, no minimum.
Twenty years ago Travelers Rest was a place you drove through on the way to the mountains. Then the Swamp Rabbit Trail arrived (see Visit Greenville SC) and TR became the place everyone rides to — a Main Street of bike racks, brunch lines, and Furman University just down the trail. Endurance communities take fuel seriously, and the celiac athletes among them take it doubly so: about 1 in 100 people carry the condition per the Celiac Disease Foundation, and a contaminated recovery meal can cost a week of training.
"I snowboard, so I understand earning your supper at elevation," says owner Lew Kizer. "The Swamp Rabbit crowd doesn't want cheat-day food — they want honest fuel. Eighteen-hour brisket with the macros printed right on it happens to be both."
The full program is at our gluten-free meal delivery page; order at order.smashmeals.com by Thursday midnight and refuel like you mean it.
